The Overview
Premium websites offer a more extensive range of features than standard and advanced sites. With a premium site, customers can utilise features that are not avilable on other tiers.
What Are Premium Sites?
A premium website, also known as an Amplify Tier 3, is a larger website with a wider scope of features, including geo landing pages and online bookings. Premium websites will be built on our model site wireframes by our specialist build team.
As a welcome agent, your responsibility is ensuring that the CCT is completed so that our specialist build team can create the best website possible. This site must be optimised to the customers goals and built with the rest of their solution in mind. You will also need to configure certain apps for the customer.
What Are the Features of Premium Sites?
The following features are available on premium websites:
You can find the product spec side by side here. To put this into perspective, here are the specs for different website tiers side by side:
Here are five features that you should be aware of:
- Wix Reviews: Add Wix Reviews to allow customers to write reviews about your products in your online store. Reviews are a great way to build trust, making your brand more trustworthy. They also empower your customers, letting them share their experiences. Positive reviews boost sales by showing others that your products are great, and feedback helps you improve. You can reply to your reviews right from the Wix dashboard. Here is a guide for setting up Wix Reviews.
- Automated Sales Tax: Wix is fully integrated with Avalara®, an automated tax software that provides you with the most current tax rates for every transaction, worldwide. Simplify tax collection and filing by letting Avalara do the hard work for you. Avalara provides you with tax rates in real-time for transactions across the US, the EU, and around the world. Avalara makes sure your tax is calculated based on up-to-date tax rules, so you don’t have to calculate your store's taxes yourself. NOTE Automated Sales tax will be calculated for the first 500 transactions p/m. For more information on setting up this feature, check out this guide and video.
- Wix Subscriptions: Product subscriptions are the perfect way to create a steady income stream while making life easy for your customers. You can offer a product only as a subscription, or let your customers choose what's right for them: A one-time purchase or one of your subscription options. To sell product subscriptions, you must connect a payment method that supports recurring payments.
- Wix Loyalty Program: With Wix Loyalty Program, create a unique loyalty program for your business. Boost sales and build a community of repeat customers who are enthusiastic about your brand. Customers earn loyalty points by taking actions on your site such as making a purchase or signing up for a newsletter. When they accumulate enough points, they can redeem rewards such as discount coupons. You choose how customers earn points as well as what reward coupons they can redeem. You can also customize the name and points icon of your loyalty program. View all current loyalty program participants from your site's dashboard and manually assign points. Note: Wix Loyalty Program is currently available for Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, Wix Restaurants, Wix Pricing Plans and Wix Events. Follow this guide to find out how to set up a loyalty program.
- Geo Landing Pages: Geo Pages or Local Landing Pages are pages created on a website to highlight a geographic aspect of a business. They are most suitable for Service Area Businesses (SABs), meaning that they serve several different towns other than the one they are based. Their main goal is to encourage organic rankings. Additionally, they can be beneficial for Multi Location Businesses (MLBs), which may have more than one forward facing office with different locations that can be verified by Google. Check out our Geo landing page templates for SABs and MLBs.
What Are Geo Landing Pages?
Geo Landing Pages are pages tailored to specific locations. They are ideal for businesses that have a wide service area or multiple branches.
To create these Geo Landing Pages, there is certain information that you will need from the customer, such as:
- Branch/service area details: team bios, specialisms, branch opening times, directions.
- Social proof: examples of work carried out in that area, location-specific case studies, project showcase, how this will benefit customers, before & after pictures, dates and locations, third party endorsements, qualifications & affiliations, location-specific reviews & testimonials.
- The more information we can add to a Geo page, the better the potential SERP ranking.
- If a customer is planning to add their own localised information in the future, we need the ensure they have been educated on the best practice above.
As a minimum, we will need page names, accurate locations (e.g. not as vague as “London”, it will need to be more specific), unique selling points for the area, local contact details (if applicable), and at least one of the following:
- A Location-specific testimonial/ review.
- Social proof- media mentions/ awards/ praise from industry experts/ involvement in location-specific events.
- Connections to area- e.g. local organisations/ charities the business supports/ local professional organisations the business belongs to.
From an SEO perspective, the business will need to follow Google’s EEAT guidelines. Essentially, they need to demonstrate that they have the following qualities:
- Experience
- Expertise
- Attractiveness
- Trustworthiness
What Makes a Good Premium Website?
As with all websites, a good premium website will be optimised for relevant searches. Make sure your website mentions the keywords you want to be found for so that the site is search engine optimised.
It is also key that you discuss the specific requirements that the customer needs from the site. For example, if the customer wants to set up an e-commerce store, it is vital that you obtain the relevant information about the products.
When asking the customer about their coverage area, it is best to be as specific as possible. Using as many specific locations as possible will be much more beneficial from an SEO point of view than being overly broad e.g. “covering the whole of the UK.”
How Should You Prepare for the Onboarding Call?
As with standard websites, it is essential to properly prepare for your onboarding call.
Looking through the Solutions Briefing Document will help you to better understand the business itself as well as its specific needs, allowing you to have informed conversations with the customer. This document should give you a better understanding of what features the customer will be looking for in their premium website e.g. online bookings.
Why is the CCT Essential for Premium Sites?
As always, agents should ensure that the CCT is rich with valuable information. Premium sites are built by our specialist build team. They are not part of the onboarding call and so will be using your instructions alone to build the site. If the customer needs something specific on a website, this needs to be clearly noted on the CCT – otherwise you run the risk of it not being done.
To ensure that the website copy is high-quality, specific page instructions must be given. This should include what to write on each page. Using reference sites and instructions on how to use old copy will be especially insightful for specialist builders.
The CCT itself will not be that different from the ones used on standard and advanced websites. However, it will have the additional features listed as well as the option to have up to 15 pages.
